Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Because I'm in a battle with food allergies, I made these with gluten free pretzels from Glutino and dairy free chocolate from Denman Island Chocolate.

The original pin called for 1 12oz package of chocolate chips. I used 2 Espresso Chunk bars. I had a BIG bag of pretzels and I just threw a couple of handfuls on the baking sheet :)

I tossed the pretzels into the melted chocolate in the measuring cup. The poured them out on a wax paper covered baking sheet.
Stuck the tray in the fridge for 10 minutes to speed up the hardening of the chocolate.
YUM! Up next...cinnamon sugar pretzels.

Candle Stamping!!!

Do you ever find a craft that you want so badly to work? This idea for candle stamping one of those for me. I read the back of so many stamps at Michael's but decided to use picture stamps instead. I had a 1/2 off coupon so I splurged on a set of rubber stamps featuring birds :) I got the stamp pad at the same time because I liked the colour and it was $1.50
I got small votive candles for my first try (vanilla scented from Walmart)

I put the stamp on the desk and inked the top surface. I rolled the candle over the stamp. Apologies for the scarred desk. This is also where I paint my nails.

I scored on my very first try
Can't wait to get bigger candles and try more colours!

Shower Gel Bath Paint

*Shower gel works better than bubble bath*
The kids LOVED this! I was a super hero the night I made bath paint and it's so, so easy.

I made half the recipe in one big bowl then separated it for 2 different colours.
I know it looks like a scary mess to clean up but it's only shower gel! I used the removable shower head and it rinsed right off.

Lemon Bars

A friend argued that the recipe isn't actually 2 ingredients, but there are only 2 things you need to make these super yummy lemon bars.
I couldn't find a can of lemon pie filling so I used the Jell-o stuff that you make on the stove. Still super easy.
Once the filling is made, mix in a box of Angel Food cake mix and pour it into a pan. I used a rectangular cake pan.

It looks really, really weird in the pan. Bake and cool. Sprinkle with icing sugar. Done!

My kids loved them too.
